App Development
During Fall semester of my junior year, I was given a semester long assignment to completely ideate, develop, and design an entire mobile device app centered around Artificial Intelligence and where I think AI will go in the next few years for day to day use.
I observed the way people around me struggled to navigate when to go to the grocery store, what to buy, come up with ideas of what to make for the weak, and manage multi-member household meals in their increasingly busy schedules and decided to develop an application that might help solve these problems.
I researched my target market through online surveys with hundreds of responses and multiple rounds of in-person interviews to gather what my user group really needs from a grocery planning mobile app.
By the end of the semester, using Figma, I was able to create an app logo, complete style guide, and interactive prototype for my AI mobile app, “MarkIt.” MarkIt. is an AI assisted application designed to turn smaller, everyday stressors into automated help. By relieving some daily decisions like planning meals, remembering ingredients, and coordinating with others, the app is designed to help households save time, reduce waste, and improve everyday life.
